Recommendation to accept the 2025 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) [amount not to exceed $17,701.00, 20% County Match required] as administered through the State of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child Family Services, to be used to pay conference registration fees, travel and training costs for the WCSO Victim Advocate, and to provide emergency housing funds and emergency services such as gift cards for food, fuel, clothing, cell phones, cell phone minutes and hygiene products for victims of violent crimes for the retroactive grant period of July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025, and if approved, authorize Sheriff Balaam to execute grant award documentation and direct Comptroller's Office to make the necessary budget amendments.
