My wife, Catherine, and I are most pleased to offer our support for Ms. Andrea Tavener to be appointed to the Washoe County Library System (WCLS) Board of Trustees. As former Library employees, we worked with Ms. Tavener for eight years and have known her for about 20 years. We have found her to be highly capable, ethical, dependable, conscientious and civically oriented. As reflected in her resume, almost everything she has been involved with in her work career and volunteer activities is geared toward the betterment of our community.

Serving as a Library Trustee would be a perfect fit for Ms. Tavener’s focus, experience and skill set. As a Trustee, she would be able to “hit the ground running” with her extensive knowledge of the Library System’s operations and funding structure. In addition, she understands and appreciates the value of public libraries, which is a mindset that is essential for someone to be an effective Trustee.

We heartily recommend that Ms. Tavener be appointed to the WCLS Board of Trustees.

    Thank you for your consideration.
